An anti-Syrian MP is among at least 10 people killed in an explosion in Beirut’s waterfront area.
This comes at a crucial time, when Israel has expressed a willingness to concede Golan Heights.
Mr Eido is the third member of Lebanon’s anti-Syria parliamentary majority to be killed in a bombing in the past two years.
No doubt, the finger will be pointed at Syria, but one has to wonder, what Syria could possibly stand to gain by being involved in this attack?
