My friend, Amar Bakshi, has been traveling the world over the last months writing a blog for the Washington Post called, “How the World See America.” His aim? To discover how the US is viewed in a host of countries including India, Kashmir and Pakistan.
Some of his strongest posts include this one from Pakistan and this one from India.
He’s now back in Washington, trying to unpack the last 100 days on the road.
The strength of the project lies in the free-form of the writing, images and short films. And it appears that the Post was happy to publish comments that severely slammed US foreign policy. Until average US citizens recognise the damage caused by the Bush years (and indeed, US foreign policy over the last decades) little will change with a new President in 2009.
