How long will we have to wait for the global Zionist community to react with horror to this outrageous suggestion from a ruling Israeli party?
Yisrael Beiteinu has proposed a law which will forbid Arabs in Israel from celebrating the annual Nakba day, commemorating the “disaster” (in Arabic Nakba) which befell them when Israel became a state. Arabs commemorate the day generally on May 15th, this Friday.
Yisrael Beiteinu MK Alex Miller has proposed that any commemoration of the day should be outlawed, with perpetrators facing a maximum of three years in prison. He explained that it is inconceivable that Arabs should be able to mourn Israel’s creation when they live in the country.
The golden rule of the mainstream Jewish community; things are only racist when we say so (and that means anti-Arab bigotry is totally fine.)
