This graffiti by Jewish extremists in the West Bank town of Hebron is from 2002, though I saw very similar examples of vicious anti-Arab sentiment while visiting in early 2005. The news that Jewish right-wingers are still trying to stop the planned Gaza withdrawal reminds us that the upcoming evacuation is just the beginning of a protracted battle between Messianic settlers and an Israel that should be moving to a truly secular state.
