Who really controls the West Bank (hint: it isn’t the Palestinians)

This one line in a Reuters story says it all:

[Mahmoud] Abbas, for his part, holds sway in the occupied West Bank, his administration largely propped up by Israel.

The “model” for Palestinian independence, indeed.
